What is Animoto?
It is a video creation website and app that uses photos, videos, audio and voice overs to create video slideshows which then are "published" and have the opportunity to be shared. Students can collaborate, communicate and create digital shorts using a variety of multimedia. A free Animoto account allows students to create 60 second video shorts, or educators can apply for an account for that allows students and educator create longer length videos. The animoto for educators can be utilized to introduce thematic units and activate student background knowledge.
